Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. Half the World Away - by Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers she has recorded. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway via a blog post gave the artist some additional appreciation. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to make music as a means of the sake of personal development, and not as a way of earning money or to pursue to pursue an interest. As a result, she began to write songs of her own. Her influences include renowned writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her affinity with Bjork's style. She began performing her songs publicly when her mom suggested they can help other people, not to gain fame with her work but to make those around them see the importance of their work and how they impact the world. She was suggested by her mother to be able to perform her music publicly in order so that people can see their importance and the ways they could impact the world. Her family didn't be aware of this until she was fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. Her sole passion is writing music. According to her, she believes that music can help anyone feel better.
